The Conservation Fund is an environmental nonprofit with a dual charter mission of environmental protection and economic development that has delivered bold conservation solutions that are good for people and the planet for over 35 years. We have protected over 8.3 million acres of land across America—over 2 million of which are working lands like forests, farms and ranches. We reject the idea that we must choose the environment or the economy. We demonstrate this by protecting working forests that address climate change and provide jobs; creating urban parks and training local youth in green jobs; conserving habitat and preventing flooding in communities; and equipping communities with tools to save nature and create vibrant economies.

Green Diamond Resource Company is a fifth-generation, family-owned forest products company. We own and manage working forest land in eight states in the western and southern US. We operate under the toughest forest practice regulations found anywhere – regulations developed to protect water quality, soils, fish, wildlife species, sensitive plants and archeological and cultural sites. Our Washington, Oregon and Southern timberlands are independently certified to be in compliance with the Sustainable Forestry Initiative® (SFI) Standard. In California, Green Diamond Resource Company lands have achieved certification under the Forest Stewardship Council® (FSC®) standards. We harvest less than 2% of our lands annually and all harvested areas are quickly replanted with native species to start the forest cycle anew. These working forests provide quality water and habitats for fish and wildlife species, store carbon in both trees and wood products, and support local rural communities.
